6 weeks

Woot! 6 weeks down, 34 to go ... Yikes! Life is a little more normal now. I'm used to the idea of being pregnant and I think about it less often. ( though still often enough :] )
My birthday is this weekend and I just found my digital camera! So there will hopefully be some new pics coming soon.
We are going camping on Memorial Day weekend. Davy and I are super excited to go camping and enjoy being with family. My sister and her family are FINALLY coming this year, so I'm excited that I get to share Jameson's first camping trip with them.
Hum ... and that's about it for this week. My life is a little bit boring right now except for the baby. I do have 2 appointments scheduled though and I'm excited for my first ultrasound!

Appleseed baby

It's hard to believe I am already 5 weeks along! Davy and I have had a great week and we just love knowing that our baby is growing every day. I decided to add some new photos to my post. They are belly pics and will be on the right hand side until I pop this kid out! Then there will be plenty of baby pics. :]

I am 5 weeks pregnant

1.What foods are you craving? I'm craving Mexican and Chinese food like CRAZY!

2.Any morning sickness? About the same as week 4 of the pregnancy.

3.Things that make you sick? Apparently Remo's does not agree with my stomach.

4. When is your first ultrasound scheduled? June 8th ... can't wait!

5. Who's your doctor? Carole Shelley, M.D.

6. Will you find out the gender of your baby? Yes. I'm not a patient person.

7. What gender do you think baby is? I feel like it's a girl, but that's probably just because I want a girl.

8. Who's allowed in the room with you at birth? Before I start pushing, any family members. When it comes time to actually have the baby, only Davy ... and my mom (if she wants)

9.How big is baby this week? This week our baby is the size of an appleseed.

Our little "Poppyseed"

I've decided that I'm going to try and fill out a little survey every once in a while about my pregnancy and add questions as I go, up until after delivery. I hope it will be a good way of remembering all the little things.

I am 4 weeks pregnant

1.How did you know you were pregnant? I woke up the morning I was supposed to start my period, I was kind of nauseous, and just had a strange feeling that I was pregnant. So I took a test and 3 minutes later ... PREGNANT :]
2.How old are you? I am just shy of my 20th birthday. We know we're starting a family young, but we know it's right.

3.Was it planned? Yes. I don't believe that babies can be accidents ...

4.What foods are you craving? ICE CREAM, chicken, and baked potatoes like nothing else. Nothing too strange yet.

5.Any morning sickness? Lots of bloating and I am nauseous 24/7. No throw up .... yet. I'm not expecting that until week 6.

6.How was daddy's reaction? He was SO excited. He is still super excited. He rubs my tummy as if there's actually a bump there (with all this bloat, it kind of looks like a bump, haha.)

7.Any strange symptoms? I didn't expect to be so aware of my body. Now that I'm pregnant I am hyper-aware of every tiny thing. I can actually feel my uterus stretching, it's a constant pulling sensation in my lower abdomen. If I stretch in the morning laying down on the bed, it feels like I'm stretching out so much in my lower abdomen. Very, very strange feeling

8.Dreams? I am having the WEIRDEST dreams. I've dreamt of leeches all over my body and me trying to rip them off (I would have liked to see me sleeping right then) and last night I dreamed that Davy was rescuing me from killer dinosaurs. He would jump on their backs and hack their heads off so we could escape. Like I said ... freaking weird dreams.

9.Things that make you sick? Davy loves those jalapeno cheetos, well he was eating them this morning and I almost threw up because of the smell. I've never hated something so much in my life than those stupid cheetos!
10.How big is baby this week? This week our baby is the size of a poppyseed. I keep calling him/her "Our little poppyseed".

I'm Pregnant!

It's true ... Got the positive test this morning. Davy and I are excited to start our family! We're nothing but smiles right now! I was wondering why my body was acting a little strange and then this morning I woke up and I just had this feeling that I was pregnant and I needed a test to confirm. I am 4 weeks along. EDD is January 6, 2010. I called to make my first Dr. appointment but their office was closed. Who just closes their office at 2:00 in the afternoon? I also called my insurance to discuss maternity benefits and I am so happy Davy and I have insurance. We're already planning ways to tell our families. Anyway, since I can't shout my news to the world yet, I have to blog about it because if I don't, I'm going to burst at the seams. It's still so surreal to me, I almost want to take another test to wake myself up!

Logan Temple

An opportunity presented itself last night to visit a temple Davy and I have never been to. We made a trip with our friend Bryce down to Logan to go through a session with our friends Angella and Josh. It was amazing. I LOVE temples. When I was younger, I never imagined that I'd get to go into these wonderful places, but here I am. I am so thankful for temples and all of the blessings that come from visiting the temple. It's such a wonderful place to escape and just be with Heavenly Father.

We're Buying a House!

Yes. It's true. Davy and I are in the process of buying our first home. I cannot even tell you how excited I am! We were supposed to meet with the loan officer today but ... she called in sick. With Davy's busy work schedule, we probably won't be able to meet with her until next Monday! Ugh. Sad day.

On another note, Davy's sister, Allison is in town from Virginia. I think next time, we're going to have to go visit her. I've heard that it's beautiful there.

I also decided that Davy and I are going to use some of our $8,000 home buyer tax credit next year to buy a new camera. I have NO pictures of our first married year together! Lame, right?

I'm sending a package off to my little Isabel tomorrow. It's gonna cost me a FORTUNE! But, she and her family are so worth it. I talked to her on the phone yesterday, she named a stuffed animal after me- talk about a compliment - haha.

Prayers are Answered

So ... Davy and I haven't been to the temple in a few months and I've REALLY been thinking about it a lot. I want to go and do a session and just feel at peace. I didn't want to be the one to bring it up, I wanted him to want to take me to the temple. So, I started to pray about it. Well, just a couple days ago my prayers were answered. Davy suggested that we go up to Idaho Falls in a couple of weeks and go through a session. I was ecstatic. I almost started crying I was so happy. Realizing that if I started crying, I would have to explain myself, I just grinned at Davy and hugged him. I am so thankful for this revelation: That prayers are answered. Simple as that. I LOVE that I can pray and really need something in my life and my Heavenly Father will help me out. He's always there for me and I think I take that for granted.
