13 weeks

Well ... 4th of July weekend was extremely fun! Davy and I drove up to Salmon, ID and stayed at my grandparent's house. We went to the family reunion and ate some good food. The fireworks show was small as ever but still good. However, I hated the music that went with it. it was all classical and a little annoying. I wanted to hear "I'm Proud to be an American"! Although that would have made me cry because of all these pregnancy hormones.

The baby is growing fast and is now the size of a peach. My next appointment is a week from today and we're excited to hear the heartbeat. Then it's only a few more weeks until the big ultrasound! My aunt Ladeana gave me some cute baby girl clothes so I hope that this baby gets a chance to wear them (wink wink) ;] I am officially in to 2nd trimester and have 13 loooong weeks until I make it to 3rd trimester. I'm so looking forward to meeting this little one!

"A mother's joy begins when new life is stirring inside... when a tiny heartbeat is heard for the very first time, and a playful kick reminds her that she is never alone."

We told the families!

I am 11 weeks and 1 day pregnant.
We wanted to tell our families soon, so we decided that Father's Day would be the perfect time. Their reactions were priceless ... Everyone is as excited as we are. Now, Jameson will have a cousin to play with and they'll be about a year apart so that's good. We're both excited to tell everyone at work tomorrow and to let all of our friends know. It's amazing how great a little baby can make everyone feel.

That's our baby! I was SO excited for my appointment today because I knew that we were going to be seeing the baby. We saw it's little heartbeat and Davy and I both just loved him/her on first sight. The baby was actually moving and "posing" for us. The doctor says I'm measuring 9 weeks 2 days. So, new due date of January 9th for me! I also lost five pounds since my last appointment which is normal. I'm just so excited to see and feel our baby grow. Only 8-9 more weeks until we find out the gender! :]

8 weeks tomorrow

Whew ... it's been a long 3 day weekend. Davy and I went camping with the whole family to Carlson Lake over by Mackay. We had a lot of fun and I enjoyed being with my family. Above is a picture of Carlson Lake, about 8,100 feet above sea level!

I found out on my birthday, that my cousin, Chimele is due on the exact same day I am. I'll also add that she's not married and her boyfriend cheated on her the week before she conceived. Am I happy that I have to share my pregnancy with her? NO. I am not happy. I have done everything the right way, in the order that is acceptable to myself and my family. At the end of the day, at least I can say I'm living my life the way I planned it, with my values and standards still going strong. I can say I did it the right way.

I've been quite nauseous the past week or so. Hello morning sickness. However, I'm never really sick in the morning! The afternoons and evenings are the worst.

The baby is the size of a raspberry this week! It's hard to believe that he/she was the size of a poppyseed only 4 weeks ago.

6 weeks

Woot! 6 weeks down, 34 to go ... Yikes! Life is a little more normal now. I'm used to the idea of being pregnant and I think about it less often. ( though still often enough :] )
My birthday is this weekend and I just found my digital camera! So there will hopefully be some new pics coming soon.
We are going camping on Memorial Day weekend. Davy and I are super excited to go camping and enjoy being with family. My sister and her family are FINALLY coming this year, so I'm excited that I get to share Jameson's first camping trip with them.
Hum ... and that's about it for this week. My life is a little bit boring right now except for the baby. I do have 2 appointments scheduled though and I'm excited for my first ultrasound!

Appleseed baby

It's hard to believe I am already 5 weeks along! Davy and I have had a great week and we just love knowing that our baby is growing every day. I decided to add some new photos to my post. They are belly pics and will be on the right hand side until I pop this kid out! Then there will be plenty of baby pics. :]

I am 5 weeks pregnant

1.What foods are you craving? I'm craving Mexican and Chinese food like CRAZY!

2.Any morning sickness? About the same as week 4 of the pregnancy.

3.Things that make you sick? Apparently Remo's does not agree with my stomach.

4. When is your first ultrasound scheduled? June 8th ... can't wait!

5. Who's your doctor? Carole Shelley, M.D.

6. Will you find out the gender of your baby? Yes. I'm not a patient person.

7. What gender do you think baby is? I feel like it's a girl, but that's probably just because I want a girl.

8. Who's allowed in the room with you at birth? Before I start pushing, any family members. When it comes time to actually have the baby, only Davy ... and my mom (if she wants)

9.How big is baby this week? This week our baby is the size of an appleseed.

Our little "Poppyseed"

I've decided that I'm going to try and fill out a little survey every once in a while about my pregnancy and add questions as I go, up until after delivery. I hope it will be a good way of remembering all the little things.

I am 4 weeks pregnant

1.How did you know you were pregnant? I woke up the morning I was supposed to start my period, I was kind of nauseous, and just had a strange feeling that I was pregnant. So I took a test and 3 minutes later ... PREGNANT :]
2.How old are you? I am just shy of my 20th birthday. We know we're starting a family young, but we know it's right.

3.Was it planned? Yes. I don't believe that babies can be accidents ...

4.What foods are you craving? ICE CREAM, chicken, and baked potatoes like nothing else. Nothing too strange yet.

5.Any morning sickness? Lots of bloating and I am nauseous 24/7. No throw up .... yet. I'm not expecting that until week 6.

6.How was daddy's reaction? He was SO excited. He is still super excited. He rubs my tummy as if there's actually a bump there (with all this bloat, it kind of looks like a bump, haha.)

7.Any strange symptoms? I didn't expect to be so aware of my body. Now that I'm pregnant I am hyper-aware of every tiny thing. I can actually feel my uterus stretching, it's a constant pulling sensation in my lower abdomen. If I stretch in the morning laying down on the bed, it feels like I'm stretching out so much in my lower abdomen. Very, very strange feeling

8.Dreams? I am having the WEIRDEST dreams. I've dreamt of leeches all over my body and me trying to rip them off (I would have liked to see me sleeping right then) and last night I dreamed that Davy was rescuing me from killer dinosaurs. He would jump on their backs and hack their heads off so we could escape. Like I said ... freaking weird dreams.

9.Things that make you sick? Davy loves those jalapeno cheetos, well he was eating them this morning and I almost threw up because of the smell. I've never hated something so much in my life than those stupid cheetos!
10.How big is baby this week? This week our baby is the size of a poppyseed. I keep calling him/her "Our little poppyseed".
